🌿 THE RARE WOOD BEHIND THIS ART
Thuya burl (Tetraclinis articulata) grows only in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The Romans prized it 2,000 years ago for its swirling burl grain and natural cedar-like fragrance. The deep amber tones and intricate eye patterns of the wood you see on this chest cannot be reproduced — they are formed slowly over decades inside the root of the tree.
